1 package Northern Beans
chopped celery
lots of onions
carrots
garlic
garlic powder
salt
pepper
1 can of tomato sauce
olive oil

Wash and put beans in big pan with 1/2 pan water and boil for 5 minutes then turn off heat and let rest for 10 minutes.  (Or soak in cold water overnight)

Throw out water and refill with cold water and slowly boil beans until done (about 2 hours).

In meantime cut veggies and boil in separate pan until tender.  Set aside.

In pan put olive oil and fry onions and garlic.  Then put in veggies with oil and onions then pour your tomato sauce in with the veggies.  Simmer for a while.  When beans are cooked pour in your tomato sauce and cook with beans.  Add your salt and pepper and some hot pepper if desired.
