Bulkoki- Korean Barbecued Beef
2 lbs top round or sirloin 1/8" thick (cut 1" cubes when using skewers)
Sauce:
1/2 cup soy sauce
2 Tablespoons white wine or water
1/4 cup finely chopped green onion (scallion)
1 clove garlic minced
1/2 Tablespoon toasted sesame seeds
1/2 Tablespoon sesame oil or salad oil
4 Tablespoons sugar
pinch of pepper
pinch of MSG (monosodium glutamate)
Pour well mixed sauce over meat and mix until well blended. Cover and marinate at least 2-4 hours. Broil in the oven or barbecue grill. Serve with steamed or fried rice.
