Davey's Sweets

Compliments of Aunt Mary McGill

1/2 cup milk
1 cup sugar
1 stick butter
1 package chocolate chips
1/2 cup chopped nuts
3/4 cup coconut
3 cups oats
1 teaspoon vanilla
*raisins or dates optional

Bring the milk, sugar and butter to a boil and add one package chocolate chips.  Stir until melted.  Add 1/2 cup chopped nuts, and 3/4 cup coconut.  Add 3 cups oats and 1 teaspoon of vanilla.  Drop onto wax paper.  Place in refrigerator to harden.

Beef Stew

Any kind of beef will work here.

Put beef in a roaster. Mix one envelope of Lipton Secret and 1/2 cup boiling water and pour over meat.  Bake in oven until meat is done.  You might need to add a little more water as it bakes.

Get you veggies ready.  Clean 3 large potatoes and cut into chunks.  Boil until tender.  When meat is done, cut into chunks and put meat, potatoes and veggies all together and cook until veggies are cooked.  Do not use salt when using Lipton Secret.  Parsley, pepper and sauce if you want.

Beef Soup

Shank is best for this.

Before cooking, clean with water your beef.  Put on to boil and skim off top until clean.  Then have veggies ready.  You can use frozen veggies also.  Cook until meat is tender.  (It takes longer than chicken.)  Cut meat into small pieces.  Use some sauce also and salt etc.  Same as chicken soup.
